Come See Film Noir Mosaics, Watch Sunset Boulevard on the Big Screen and Hear Poetry at Ambler Theater, October 12th, 2010, 7:00

I am excited to be part of the Montgomery County Poet Laureate Program’s Film Noir Series.  When Director Joanne Leva mentioned the project, I suddenly had this desire to make black and white “film noir” mosaics, and when I told her about this, she invited me to make my work available before and after the screening of the featured film, Sunset Boulevard, at the Ambler Theater, Tuesday October 12th, 2010 at 7:00 pm, in Ambler, PA.

The mission of Poetry Noir is to explore the universal moments presented or “spoken” in Black-and-White films with poetry writing.  The MCPL Program has joined with the Ambler Theater to bring the film to the big screen, followed by a selection of poems inspired by the intense drama of Sunset Boulevard about a former silent-film star who has faded into Hollywood obscurity, starring William Holden and Gloria Swanson.  Come join in the black and white glory!
